Checked with GH service manager. They use Havoline Ultra 5w-30 fully synth oil in the 300c service. I asked whether I could buy bottles of the stuff from their parts dept for 'top-ups'. He said the parts dept don't sell oil; service dept only have vast drums of the stuff but if I provided a container they could fill it for me! And I've been carrying round a litre of Mobil 1 all this time.
