OK, here is a mod that has been in the planning stages for a long time. I've been working on my interior mod plan since the day I ordered the car. I'm not generally a fan of wood dash kits, simply because I don't think the wood colors usually go well with dark interiors. People tend to overdo them for my tastes; I've been trying to go more understated. But, I couldn't stand the masses of dark gray plastic everywhere in the interior.
So, I decided to accent my interior with gloss black. I think it dresses up the stock interior without looking out of place. I started with Billet Technology black chrome NAV/AC knobs and a black anodized shift surround.
Now come the new mods. I added select pieces of a gloss black dash kit to the ashtray, cupholder, and door handles (thanks to FreeBird for the sample!).
I REALLY wanted to dress up the passenger side of the car, though. So, I used the base glovebox piece from the dash kit, and added chrome and satin moulding to match the shift bezel. I then added a 300 emblem to make the design a little bit more interesting.
I don't have any good daytime shots yet, since I just finished it up. I'm very pleased with the results. Hope you all like it - I sure spent enough time and money on a couple of pieces of vinyl!
