Moving the passenger's seat when the car went in for its first MOT was my reason for getting rid of the Merc. Well that and many other factors as well mainly associated with that MOT. My wife is disabled and had the seat set exactly as she required it (after the 3 years) and she was raging that some bloody pimply apprentice had mucked up her seat settings. On the 300C I have a cut out switch fitted so no one can move the seat at all - but mechanics the world over will always try and tinker with what doesn't concern them - personally I think half of them are looking for scran (obviously present company excepted). On top of the seat movement the car came back damaged - the MOT certificate had been issued when it was diagnosed with a cracked rear shocker and when I put the car into my local branch to get the shocker etc fixed they discovered that the rear caliper had bound on and damaged a rear pad - new caliper and set of shoes and sorry sir, the car is now out of warranty!!
Cheers John
