Thx bigsnake, from my 8/2004 thread " Well guys I am presently in the middle of the oil change at 1875 miles, Amsoil 5w20 will be going in momentarily The results of the oil pan bolt magnet are shocking. More metal powder than I expected and one massive chunk which is simply amazing. The photo shows a shard of metal sticking straight up exactly as it came out of the pan. The other photo shows black metal powder wiped from the end of the bolt and the shard compared to a dime for reference. The golden oil is from the threads and spillage on the magnet to contrast the black metal powder vis a vis the oil. This is from filtered oil in the pan. I have not yet removed the filter and will post separately those findings once I cut the filter " The Filtermag shows vertical stripes of metal dust.
edit: cool stealth, anytime. I got the regular, I think the supersize is a stronger magnet but the same size. The regular magnet is plenty powerful. Also, the FM website shows a front and back view giving the impression that you get two magnets, you get one magnet that covers about 120-180 degrees of the filter depending on the filter size.
