I have only played the ID sub for like 30 minutes but I can tell you its the sound that I WANTED.
For all you out there that want jaw dropping windshield pounding bass this is not the set up for you... If you want clean sound that doesnt have to slam, and doesnt have to play too low, this is for you.
The sub I have is the ENTRY LEVEL. Its called the ID10 dual 2 ohm (making 2 ohm at the amp). It was $160.00 a piece. I needed the smaller magnet to drop in, and avoid the rear window, and I wanted a sub that played very good without hundreds of watts.
The others they make, like the IDMAX requires way more power, and also would never fit from the top with a IB set up!

thanx for the info. im definitely going to look into that. i for one like lots of bass but at the same time like the clean sound, hence the jl audio w3v3. im still going to see what i do because i really wnat to drop them on the rear deck. i like JL because the deep sound and the fact they require little cubic space for performance. ocmpare to those other subs that require huge boxes. y last resort was getting the rear well pods that houses eith 10" or 12" subs. great way to clear the trunk and still have a nice custom look. but not sure how the bass will sound and if any would get lost.
