Franchise300,
I won't try to "talk your talk" but I will tell you that I have two sons age 33 and 37. I also have a grandson that is going on 17!. I am glad you caught that I was just funnin' you too!
I also run the Ford Taurus SHO National Club just for giggles, and we have people at our conventions from age 16 through 85 and they all get along.
At a recent tech session in Chicago for the SHO group, we had people from teens through 60's and I was standing next to, and enjoying a talk with, a "20 something" with lots of body piercing and tattoos. To say the least, this is not my thing, but he was a nice guy and we got along great. Funniest thing is when a bunch of "ricers" (no insult intended...maybe) spotted all the SHO's parked, they came by and did burnouts and blasted fart-can exhaust and stereo's trying to disturb our day or get us into races. Together, I and the tattoo guy both said: "JERKS!" We thought it was funny.
Last week a carload of young men in a lowered 60's era Pontiac pull up beside me on the interstate and gave me the thumbs up as I was driving my 300C. When a friends son (age 13) called my car a "baby Bently" I took it as a complement. Same when people call it a "Gangsta" car. It is all good, and having fun. I also think it is great that the 300C has such a broad range of owner age/interests.
the more I drive my 300C, the more I love it. Makes me feel like I am in a 50 grand car. Can't wait to get it on the strip and road course. Also, looking forward to the first national convention where these cars gather. But that is another topic.
