Thousands of people a day have started calling into their state congressmen begging and pleading with them to do something about oil prices.
Normally I don’t every like to get involved in this sort of thing but with gas prices the way they are and natural gas (the stuff a lot of people heat their homes with) about to double in price, people are going to freeze this winter. Now there is something you can do that will make gas drop back down to around $2 a gallon or less.
President Bush today released a statement today that we need to make the USA energy independent by drilling for more of our own oil. Currently just off the US shore alone, we have 11 Trillion dollars in available oil that we could drill for. So far congress has not allowed us to go after our own oil. (do our congressmen pay for gas?!)
Information was also just released today that if we tapped into that 11 TRILLION dollar oil deposit, the USA would become energy independent at NO COST to the environment. This means that #1 we would not have to rely on middle eastern countries for oil. #2 With no dependency on foreign oil, our gas prices would drop down to 30-60$ per barrel. That’s $2.00 or less at the pump. #3 The environmentalists and Al Gore actually have nothing to cry about if we drill.
Congress needs to act now to bring a real solution to our fuel costs. So far, congress has been the major roadblock for turning the US energy independent. Please call your congressmen and pass this along to everyone you know.
Tell him to Drill Here, Drill Now! If you are met with opposition or his staff who are unsure of his position on the topic, tell them what your position is and that in the United States of America, congress works for you.
