As long as you already tried it- I was just looking for a simpler way to do this mod. I am going to do it- Maybe once I get back off Vacation.
This mod would be great when I get my rear tails tinted. Oh I also added an RED LED Strip that runs along the bottom of the trunk lid and only comes on when the Brakes are activated- Just for added insurance

Hey now, there's an interesting application: to double the lighting when tinting the tails. They won't be any brighter, but there will be twice as many.
Oh, I've tried it alright.
Years ago I did a similar light socket modification in the brake lights of my
'97 Mustang Cobra so as to be able to install my own design sequential turnsignals.
From that experience I took a look at the C's lower running light and found, just like the Mustang, the two-element bulb was already there! A close inspection of the socket showed that tapping into the bright element of that bulb was even easier and cleaner the Mustang's. |
