Happy Thursday SCLXers
This should be our final email for the week, sorry to bog you guys/gals down. As you can see, the "info@" email is operational again.
Wanted to update you on Saturday's event at Allen Samuels Katy Dodge. We have over 30 cars and 60 people RSVPd. This is going to be a great day.
Some last minute reminders:
1. If you are going to "show" please be in position by 10:30am. Judging will begin at 11:00am. THERE IS NOT A CHARGE TO SHOW. Please come out even if you are NOT going to show....it will be a great time to get some mod ideas and meet your fellow members.
2. Food (hot dogs and chips) and bottled water is provided, courtesy of Allen Samuels Katy Dodge and SCLX. If you want to bring your own items to grill, you may do so.
3. There will be an assortment of prizes sponsored by Allen Samuels Katy Dodge including a rear spoiler. There is no charge to enter and you must be present to win.
Quick story -- I was getting my car inspected at the local kwik lube and noticed a black Charger R/T on the car wash side. The attendants locked the owner's keys inside. They asked him if he wanted them to try and get them out. I interrupted and said, "I can make a phone call to Allen Samuels Dodge, I'd rather they come out and get MY keys out instead of relying on this place." Within ten minutes, Bill came out and had the car open quick. I gave this owner a SCLX "tag" card and he said he will show up on Saturday. That's the kind of club we are...owners helping owners...and great people like Bill Denton to work with. If you're in the area, stop by Saturday and say hi to Bill and his crew. We are looking forward to events like this with our other dealer partners....Bill is leading the way.
