275/40R20 tires have 275mm tire width. the 40 is the sidewall ratio and is not an exact measurement.

The 275-45-20 tire you list I would not recommend. The increased sidewall number would indicate that the total height of the tire would be increased over stock which would lead to slightly poorer performance and throw off your speedo.


I know that 275/40R20's fit in the front, but you need to use a spacer. 30mm comes to mind but I'm not 100% sure. It also may be different for AWD.

Search the forums, there are specific spacers you want to buy. I think they are a hubcentric design. (basically you get the spacers taht correctly center on your hub before you put the wheel on). Spacers taht are not exactly balanced on your hub will throw off the balance of your wheel.
