Delayed Acceleration in 300c

When I put my car in reverse and then back into drive and vise versa then I step on the gas, there is a hesitation of about a second or 2 then the car moves. Is this normal?

Also when I am at a light or a stop sign, I hit the gas and I get the same thing, does all our 300c do this or is there a problem with the tranny?

How can you tell if there is a leak in the tranny?
