I tried both versions. I was able to pull off the carpet on one door and wrapped it in the suede. The next doors carpet wouldn't come off so i tried the tuck. I sprayed the carpet and the edges with supper 77 stretched the suede over it and used a screen spiling tool to wedge it in. The edges under the speakers in the front have a little ply so i used a plastic pry to to shove it under. Then took a brand new knife blade and slid it around the edges and carefully pull the excess away.Then took the spline tool and ran it over the edges again. I think the trick to a smooth finish is to work from the corners out.
