I think your list of top 10 car movies is excellent particularly including "Gumball Rally" which I think is much better than "Smokey and the Bandit." Two movies which should probably be included in the top 10 are "Vanishing Point" starring Barry Newman and a Challenger, and "Two-Lane Blacktop." "Two-lane Blacktop" is a real atmosphere type movie that is all about the characters. The cast includes James Taylor (yes, the Carly Simon James Taylor) and Warren Oates, among others. It is a real novelty type movie.
