Not all tire dressings will sling off and mess up the car. The one I sell by Wurth, called Wurth Tire foam will break down into liquid within seconds and you can drive within a couple of minutes.

Some others will sling off and make a mess for close to half an hour or more.

It also helps to wipe off the rim or any small puddles for any dressing you use.

I prefer a spray on type because it isn't near as messy to apply. Spray and wipe the rim if necessary (mine won't hurt your wheels) just to keep things looking consistent.

Some dressings also become dirt magnets. Meguiar's Endurance is one that seems to collect dirt even after days.

Wurth Tire Foam will last for a couple of weeks or more, depending on how messy the weather is.
