Well, after ordering the Stoptech SS lines (stock rotors/calipers) through Zeckhausen in April, I finally put them on today 6/04/05. Painted calipers as well
A Very easy job to do with online instructions from Dave (be careful when using the laptop in the garage, in addition to eating paint, brake fluid will damage plastic surfaces

I did the rears last week and found the fronts had the wrong fittings. Called Stoptech, described the fitting and they indicated the wrong fitting was indeed the problem. Stoptech cust. svc is
SUPURB. In addition to sending out new lines, they wanted photos of the fitting and label to do an internal investigation on how this happened,

The SS lines do make a difference, there is
less initial pedal travel but once the initial travel is over, there is hardly any movement of the pedal, more pressure = more braking, essentially the point where the "meat" of the braking is done is reached sooner and the braking seems much more responsive. A worthy upgrade yes, more responsive pedal yes, the stock brakes are'nt bad at all and someone else driving the car might note the breaks are great but will never know it has SS lines (generally does not cross one's mind). My wife who occasionaly drives the C will prolly notice but she is biased since she knows something is up given she pumped the pedal for bleeding. To sum it up, I would definately do it again and recommend it with the understanding that the gains are in
feel and
responsiveness which are very subjective and has the potential for bias given one's expectations.
