"Bump Steer" and Lower Control Arms

I have an '05 300C and I've been experiencing "bump steer" for the past couple months i.e. when I hit a bump at normal driving speeds the steering turns one way or the other on its own requiring me to correct the wheel.

A while back on an unrelated visit the stealership told me I had a broken lower control arm. After reading another post here, it sounds like cracked bushes/bushings are not that uncommon. Are new bushings likely all that I need? I understand that Chrysler doesn't sell the bushings seperate of the control arm but Pedders does.

Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
