not sure if this has been posted elsewhere, but i found this site on the web with a nice step by step and pics.

I used a $30 heat gun from Home Depot and an old credit card. Make sure not to use detailing compounds or heavy polishes on new paint -bad idea (I used to own a car detailing company years ago).

Removing both side mouldings took me about 30 minutes.

The end result is classic.
