lol, we can't really discount install unless my installer wants a pay decrease. You also get a warranty on all parts and paint (if you get paint) for the $175 so it is worth it.

I'm in on a group buy. I just really can't make up my mind if I want them painted. I feel like on the black C, the chrome background looks real sharp, but I don't know how great the halos would look w/ the chrome background.
lol never hurts to ask, right? If you ask me $375 is worth it.
I too am torn on the painting. I have a black 300c and I think it might look sharp with the black... but I am a fan of the chrome. You guys gotta get a pic of the chrome ones as soon as you can.
I have taken apart many headlights and taillights in my lifetime.
That was in the day when they still sealed up the lights with a commercial grade silicone.
I used a heat gun and fishing line to separate those type of sealed lights.
Today most all headlights, tail lights, gauge clusters, etc. Are sealed with a new more permanent way called "Plastic Welding"
There is not alot of room for error when attemping to cut the plastic weld, on the headlights, etc. If you are not confident in doing the smallest mods to your ride. This is not a job for you. If you feel you are up for the task get the DIY kit.
I have been modding etc. for many years now. I was set to open my headlights originally just to paint the insides Silver Steel. Justin and AAC came along just at the right time. I was litertally set to cut into my test 300 Base headlight (HID is $1000 ea.), when AAC became a supporting vendor.
The Halo mod is one mod I have added to my car, that is just simply awesome. I get more WTF looks, thumbs up, etc with my glowing eyes.
IMHO. If Justin was doing his service for even $500, turn-key. I would have still layed my $ down just as fast. I have spent far more on other mods for my 300.
For what ACC is charging to open the headlights, paint the insides, do the Halo install, reseal the headlights, etc. I don't think you would be able to get it done, on your own, for much less. Plus you are taking a big risk cutting into your headlights, if you have never done anything like this before.
This is the one time I will say. "Leave it to the Professioanls, for this mod"
Gladly spend your hard earned money on a mod that will def. set you apart from the crowd. You will thank ol' Freebird one day.

Here is the only picture I found posted somewhere, before I found AAC and there better product. This shows a halo with Chrome still left on the insides of the headlights. I also don't like the inferior blue glow to the rings.
IMHO. Leaving the insides in Chrome you lose alot of the rings stand alone glow. The glow of the rings gets lost in all the reflective background. If I had a Black 300 and liked Chrome on my ride. I would still paint the insides of the headlights Black, for the Halos. You will have plenty of chrome with your grille and the top pieces of your bumperettes, on the front of the car. The Halos will be seen more in the day time and def night time when painted inside, not Chrome. Just my .02
Here is a picture of AAC's 300 Base headlights with the background painted Black.
Now here is FreebirdSRT with Silver Steel painted insides and the AAC 50,000 hour Cathode's doing there thing. I am trying to take some better pictures. These pictures I have posted don't even do the AAC halo's any justice. Last Saturday night a few LX members and I went up to a night time car gathering. All years from 30's to our 2006 SRT's (5 of us). People were coming up to me and saying they could see the rings glowing from accross the parking lot and had to come see what that was. FreebirdSRT was loving all the attention, thanks Justin for such a sweet looking mod.

Thanks for the info and also a big thanks for the PM. I've asked alot of questions and so far you have been the one with the best response time and the most information.
I'm a sucker for old muscle cars, hence I love the chrome and it's clean look. While I tend to agree that the black would make these look alot better when they are on, I feel like if I painted them back I would also have to swap out my tail and side lights for the smoked look to make them match up... ya know? Then I think, IMO, it starts to make the car look a little too hip hop. Not that there's anything wrong with that, I love that look on these cars, however, it's not my style. But then again, that black does look **** good. *sigh* decisions decisions.... It's gonna take me a bit to get this one figured out, lol. Thanks for all the info though.
EDIT: Just a thought... but if I decide later to get them painted (I'm leaning towards not right now) could I send them back and have them painted? Would that be the same as the install fee? Thanks guys... first mod I'm going to do to my car and I feel like my wedding day all over again (that turned out to be a disaster, so that's why I'm so neurotic right now, lol)
