The 300C does have a different type of seal from the IS300 in the video but its not that much harder to open. People only mess up when they dont let the light heat up all the way. Get it nice and hot and that lens comes right off.

I'm with you on the DIY.... I'd like to attempt it myself. If i do a good enough job , i could offer my services to the other guys who want to buy the halos here... say about half price...

I'll definitely offer my services if I feel the job isn't too hard. Looks like baking the lights to the right temperature is going to be the key.
