No, I meant will adding the mad eyes cause any extra lift on the hood, as I would think it could trap some air under there? As far as hood pins, I don't like them especially on a 300 that is a street car. Manufacturing does use a metal plate in between the hood and bottom structure and I always ask that they use extra epoxy (or whatever technical name they have for it) when bonding the top and bottom layer together to prevent the hood flying off or apart.

I know!

It's crazy they quit making it! Chad put a lot of effort into making that mold!

I been upwards of 90+ mph and my hood has never given any inclination of lifting.

Anything over 100-110 I would do pins for safety's sake!

Any idea why he stopped making it? I've been doing this for a few years and I know it takes a lot of time and money to make molds, don't see why he would make it then just quit. It is still offered on his site (or at least it's listed)

That's good to know, thanks! BTW, you're car is beautiful. I remember seeing it a while back when I did a search for the chally hood. Mine pretty soon will be "Sodak's" little brother. I have a black 300 myself and will be doing this chally hood, coilovers and quite possibly Viper 22's

Whether they are mad eyes or not there is gonna be some lift.. I would say a little more with than without for obvious reasons. So you think the metal band will compensate for the extra flex nature of the fibreglass and make hood pins not required? I agree that hood pins look pretty terrible... but honestly having a car that can run 160+ and keeping it under 90 forever sucks more! Lol... I was trying to wrap my head around the fact I may have to pin this thing if it goes into production... now I have some hope! Lol

Mad eyes and heat extraction are what I would be interested in with regards to a hood. Aside from that, I'm with agreeance that we do need a proper cowl hood - RKsport's hood is just hideous and non-funtional.

Thanks for taking an interest in us 300 owners!

Thanks for the complements!

I think Chad just turned his attention to the Jeep SRTs.

He's making tons of parts for that model. Just recently carbon fiber wheels!

Yes, carbon fiber wheels.

You're welcome

Here's another one he made for us. We have these vents on a C5 hood we make.
