Looking to build a hood for the 300 need some ideas
Hey guys, pretty much as the title states. I have a manufacturer that has been building Vette parts for me for a few years and I spoke to them about a 300 hood. They are going to make the 300/Chally hood already but suggested I think of a new design. I was curious what you guys thought would look cool for a new hood? Im not looking to sell here on the forum, if it comes to it I would become a vendor. Im a vendor on the Vette forum. I just wanted a couple Ideas and suggestions on what might look good. Here's a few things they have made for me for my Vette (Yellow Z06) I'll post a few pictures of other parts as well on customers cars.
ZR1 Style front fenders
Again, fenders, but also shows the carbon hood
Front lip and side skirts in carbon
Flared rear fenders in carbon
Front bumper, lip and hood
C6 Vette carbon hood
Anyway, sorry for all the pix, just wanted to show we can pretty much make anything. Anyway again any ideas or suggestions is appreciated. We would take an OEM 300 hood to insure a good fit then build off of that. Again not looking to sell on here but if we can pick a good design or someone can photoshop something cool, I'd hook that person up.
Wow that's awesome! Well my 2 cents is mad eyelids for a start... can't go wrong there! Also maybe some slatted hood vents to the left and right if the center line... I like nothing drastic to mess with the lines too much... maybe a slight raise? Let me know if you need a second test car! Hehe!

Honestly...I have not seen a very good rendition of the traditional cowl hood. It only needs a very subtle rise (2" at most) but needs to be wide in order to be in proportion with the shape of that big square hood. Combine the rise of a cowl hood with some Challenger styled vents on either side and that may be a winner.
I second the notion of eyelids.
A pair of cowls on either side of the center line would look good with the vents facing backwards, similar to a cowl hood.

I agree that combo would be great. Now if someone could put it together on photoshop so we could see it.

I agree as well I think that would make a great hood for the 300.
