2012 300C Luxury on the way

Hi all,

It looks like 3 years after I got rid of my 2007 300C, I have finally joined the club again.

Traded in my Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland for a 300C Luxury with Beige interior. (Straight swap, no money out of my pocket).

Can't wait Delivery Date set for 12 Sept 2012.

(Its the 3.6 Pentastar with 8spd auto).

I took both the 3.6 and the SRT8 for a drive, as much as the SRT is brutally impressive with acceleration, the bolstered/thicker seats make for a more uncomfy fit (I'm 6ft9in and ~180kg).

I was very very impressed by the 8spd auto, its smooth as hell and really makes the pentastar sing.

Congrats on the purchase, the luxury model is certainly a cut above the limited and C trim levels.

The new V6 and 8 speed auto combo is about 2 seconds quicker 0-100 than the old V6 so it's not far off the old 5.7.

Hey man, you go thru more cars than I go thru underpants. and "(I'm 6ft9in and ~180kg)" wtf lol. I thought I had head clearance problems... hahahaha. But seriously, you lucky lucky bastard. I gotta wait months before I finish paying off the new Nissan Murano for my missus before I can plant my arse in a new SRT. Pics required when you get it of course.

I can't figure how when you add around 6 grand of options the price goes up 10 grand. I want the SRT8 with the lot but it's getting outside my price point. (not that I've seriously priced one yet).

I was just reading a review that said blind spot monitoring and forward collision alert is not yet available on the local cars.... is this true?

i am getting a white one. decided a black one was too hard to maintain and since i live on a rural property, the limestone dust from the driveway was going to show up on the paintwork really badly pretty much the first time i drive on it after washing the car!!!

probably would only go black, white or mineral grey

its a little hard to work out what price i actually am paying seeing i had a trade in...

mine has the leather interior group (mucho leather everywhere and nicer mats) and the sunroof. would have liked the black chrome group but that would have meant i would have to order a new car from scratch and wait till possibly next year....

given the tradein was above redbook valuation, i think i got a pretty good deal at 73.5k drive away with 12 months rego!

the only issue with it (which i was happy to live with) was that a few ppl had test driven the car and it had 180-190 km on it before i put 20 kms on it myself....

can't wait...!!! 5 more sleeps!!!
