Black chrome group not available?

Actually that excuse sounded good but the real truth is my missus will kill me if I spend the couple of grand that I want to spend on it, so I'm waiting for that to blow over a little.

5. Something with the exhaust.

apparently mopar exhaust coming soon.... thats what the crappy dealer told me. but i have learned never the believe a word.

Just picked up my ivory pearl white SRT8 with BLACK CHROME and PANO roof on Monday after waiting 6 weeks. Looks awesome!

Dealer did happen to mention to me that for now 'the BLACK CHROME package is no longer available.

I did however get this car 2 wks earlier than promised and it makes me think that if there is such a shortage they are moving cars to people that have ordered early.

Hi all, new member here.
I just purchased the SRT 8 from dealer with all options, delivery date I've been told is Dec 31 (bummer) but every dealer I've spoken too tells me there's a prob with supply on the black chrome... Is there any truth to this? As I've signed the paperwork and feel as thou I'm getting stuffed around. Can anyone please give me some advice... Cause if I can't get all the options I don't want the car... Thanks

Hi Nev, welcome aboard. Did you tell the dealer this? I for one can't possibly know more about supply than what a dealer would, I'd suggest if all the dealers are saying the same thing then it's likely correct.

I suppose you'll have to wait and see, but of course that's easy for me to say. Maybe give Chrysler Corporate a call.

Hi piggy, thanks 4 the response.. I guess my issue is my dealer I purchased the car with said no worries (re black chrome) dec31 delivery date (which seems a strange date), but 3 other dealers have said no more black chrome in auz for at least 12 months. Would just like a straight answer, I've spoken to my dealer about my concerns and were I stand on all options with the car. Don't get me wrong I absolutely love the car, but also know exactly what I want... As I said just want a straight answer cause if what I've been told is wrong and chrysler (or dealers) are promising and can't deliver it's a really poor way to run a company.

Sounds like I'm havin a moan about it all, it just would be a shame for chrysler to lose a client like me when they r Tryin to go head to head with the locals... You wdnt have a phone number or email so I can contact directly? Thanks for the help

I placed my order 3rd week of October. Got what I feel was a fair price 74k, plus tint paint/interior protection... Not even fussy on colour as long as its not silver.. So I have been reasonable lol.. What's unfortunate is there r 2 others directors in our company waiting to c on how I go with my car to see whether we are going to place an order for 2 more.. As I said wd be very unfortunate for chrysler. Would be a shame if we all chose what we usually do and opt for HSV OR FPV

Nah sorry, I don't have the direct number, but surely it can't be too hard to get, they just moved into a new HeadOffice in Melb I think. As for the black chrome, I wouldn't have minded buying one that didn't have it, what I definitely wanted was the leather pack. I didn't want one without that.... too much plastic without the leather dash etc. I realise it's a personal choice but it'd be a shame if it was a deal breaker for you, to miss out on such a nice car just because of the colour of the wheels.
