Heavy towing

Anybody had experience in setting up a 300c for heavy towing. My Diesel has a Mopar towbar which specifies 1725kg tow weight and 170kg ball weight.To tow our caravan I would need to be able to pull 2500kg with a ball weight of probably 250kg.
I know the motor and trans would be OK as they are in the jeep with a 3500 kg rating.
I presume I could beef up the rear suspension maybe with air bags but the anchor points for the towbar may be the issue.
I have a Discovery I currently use and am on hold for replacement until the 2013-4 updated Grand Cherokee comes out thus my interest in finding out if the Chrysler could do it.( it could be a lot more comfortable and certainly more economical on fuel.)
I will try Hayman Reece to find out if they can advise also.

I have kings station wagon rear springs in my sedan, its lowered and tows a car trailer really well. The trailer I tow with a Commodore on its back weighs about 2200kg all up
The wagon springs are slightly heaver in the spring rate and seem to cope with the ball weight over 200kgs very well.

An added benefit is the heaver spring rate tends to stop the massive under steer these cars have when pushed with std springs. The ride quality is not really effected
