Yeah, I reckon there is a lot to be saved on a wheel/tyre package. Customs will almost certainly hit you on a big purchase for duty & GST on the whole price including shipping cost. I was corresponding with a couple of different companies in the US for packages and was getting quoted US$700 for shipping, add that to maybe US$3000 for the package and you are looking at serious money for duty and GST.

The first thing you need to do is find a US dealer who will ship outside the US.

I have spoken direct with HEMEEE & Fatchance and they cautioned me on getting the exact right wheel offset for the 300C. Do some searches and you should find references to the clearances to a bolt on the front suspension, which some people have ground down against good advice.

I recommend you do your homework.
I'm tossing up so many things with this car, and to compound things i recently bought a prime-land/rundown-house type property that needs bloody renovating!

But i won't whinge...

Many things i'm contemplating with this car, foremost should i wait for srt8 and pay extra 15k and get ****tier feul economy but better performance and wheels.....or should i take the less expensive hemi now. I know i've written this before, but I'm very conscious of what my clients will think if i rock up in this pimp looking srt8 machine, first thing probably is hmmm cut the rates dom. Actually contemplating keeping my commodore as well as getting a hemi, drive the commie round for work and keep the hard working image.

incidently i spoke to chrysler head office about accessories and they say the u-connect IS available for us to speck in our 300c's, it's not factory it comes from chrysler parts and does fit in with the 3yr warranty though. rear dvd is not available, but they're looking in to it. 20in rims will not be coming, although 18in flashy ones will.

Hey SRT6.1 take a look at this

Come-on I've shown you mine, how about you show me yours (yeah I know in NSW they don't supply you with the plates until you put them on a car).

Thumbs up

Oh that looks good!! I'm very jealous!! Do you get to take them home until you get the car? Geez your lucky.
As you said, mine have to stay at the registry until I get the car. I like your format to, how the SRT is separated from the 61 with a .
The only format I could get was silver writing on a black plate. But mine is SRT61, it isn't separated with a .
It would be great to have the plates sitting at home on the shelf. But on the other hand it's hard enough now to stop thinking of the car and the day it arrives!

Another question is do you know how I can change the layout of my name? I stuffed up when I signed up. I wanted SRT61 but put in srt6.1 and accidently pressed enter. I couldn't change it after that.

Cheers

About wheels: superbuytires.com is a great site and they ship here too. $700 US to air frieght in 4 days. If the rims are made in the US and tyres too, free trade agreement comes in (just have to pay GST). TIS rims are made in china and chromed in the us so thats no good (unless we have free trade with china too...?? we do with thiland). However if you were wanting tis rims, as long as they are not the 07's cause there is a 1100 rims back order for them and wont go into production till march, a company called wheelboyz.com here in Australia brings them in. Chrysler have their own stud pattern 115 and not the common 114.3 so the rims will fit chrysler and thats it I have heard. 18 offset is the go too.
Hope that helps.

On the 6th Dec. at 8-00pm they are cruising down to Williamstown foreshore for a snack and refreshments. Last month about 50 Chryslers of all era,s turned up and as the weather gets warmer they are hoping for greater numbers. Sound like a good idea?
Cheers.
Seeing as how it rained and nobody brought their boat we all went home wet and cold so we are going to try and do it this saturday the 10th Dec. starting at 5-00pm sharp from same location going to Williamstown. Tables are booked at La Porcetta

Hi All,

Recently joined this forum and I'm finding it very useful.
Just put a deposit down on Friday for a Mineral Grey V8 and requested a late January delivery. I've taken the beast for a 3 hour test drive and f%$ken loved it. Nothing can touch it for the money.
Has anybody out there fitted an exhaust system yet? I'm looking at a Remus system with 102mm tips but it's only a muffler back system for $1580. Just wondering if there a better options.

Thanks

Spock1, you will find a heap of information here on the forum about exhaust mods, even some sound bites if you search around.

BTW, big welcome I assume you are any Aussie?

Pleased to see someone stepping up from a Mazda.
