New Hemi 5.7 & 6.1 performance specialist in Oz

Has anyone been able to find Australian based performance products for the new 5.7 (& 6.1 fingers crossed) Hemi. Stuff like CAI, exhaust, wheels, CPU, suspension, custom tune, etc.

I know most of the performance products will be USA made, but it would be great if we didn't have to import them directly and could get advice from a tuner here in Oz that has set the Hemi engine up for our 98ron fuel rather than the lower octane US fuel.

There must be some instant power gains available just from a simple reprogramming of the fuel/airl mixture for a start.

Cheers

T-Dub, there has been a fair bit of input from members on the Forum about all the stuff you are asking about but of course nothing local as our market is so small.

As for wheels, there is a local distributor for TIS wheels but be ready to pay about $895 each. I have been considering for months (maybe a year) about importing a set of wheels and tyres from the US and reckon I can save a fair bit, eg 4 x wheels & tyres ~US$3000 + US$600 shipping +tax & duty (unknown quantity at this stage).

On the subject of the "chip", early on it seemed the Tuners were relunctant to do anything because of the unknown impact to the MDS. I haven't kept up to all the discussion on this on the forum but they are now available I believe.

The Aussie 300C Hemi owners manual states 95RON fuel or alternatively 92. The North American Forum members were saying that they were advised against using higher Octane (RON & Octane are different and the numbers do not convert directly) as higher Octane messes with MDS.

Anyhow, I can report that the performance of the 300C HEMI so far from only a few WOTs is impressive. The SRT8 should be WILD.
