Unhappy The good oil

Has anyone found a synthetic oil that conforms to the 5W20 that the 300C requires? I've checked several website including Mobil, Motul, Castrol, Pennzoil & Penrite. None of these major manufacturers have a synthetic oil to suit our beloved beasts.
The only one I've been able to find is Royal Purple. Their website lists Autobarn as a distributor but my local Autobarn has never even heard of the product.
Does anyone have further info on this oil?

GoofyTim, I think the Aussie 300C manual must be printed in West Virginia.

They haven't got the the Australianisms right yet

Hi all. been off the air for a while.Anyway, decided that I want to change the oil & filter in "A HEMI" now we are up to 3500ks. Talked to my contact at DC h.o. here in Melb who was not aware of the differences between book and oil filler specs.. Called me back after discussions there and said 5w-20 in the first instance and second best 5w-30. Told him I wanted to post on this forum and could I quote him. Also said that we should be able to buy same at our local dealer at competetive rates, so will ask in the next day or so.
Cheers

Have you looked at the Mobil 1 website? I bought my 5W-20 for my 2005
300C at Pepboys. I have seen it at alot of other places too.

Here is the page from Mobil 1's website about their 5W-20 synthetic oil:

http://www.mobil1.com/USA-English/Mo...l_1_5W-20.aspx

They even mention the 2005 Chrsyler requirements for the 5W-20.

DSIGNR, I finally talked to DC HQ and I am waiting on the Sales guys I have contacts with to speak to their Engineering guys on the Oil Grade subject.

Arnold welcome back. 3500 Ks, you have done more than me. I had my oil changed at 2000 Ks myself.

C7VRF, down here in Australia it is not uncommon for manufacturers of any type of goods to limit their range due to the small population and market (in comparison with the US).

Damn, I visited Super Cheap Auto on the weekend and should have looked to see if they had 5W20 on the shelf.

On that mobil1 website, using the drop down "whats the right oil for my car?", it recommends M1 5w-20 oil for the 300c 5.7 hemi, but it recommends M1 0w-40 oil for the srt8 6.1 hemi in conditions above 0degs. Given Australian conditions are in general warmer than either europe or north america, is that anything we should read into this?

Thanks for your feedback but the link you provided was for the US website. Mobil Australia doesn't offer 5W20. Even the Royal Purple Australian website appears to be misleading. They show that they have a 5W20 in their range but a phone call to the Australian distributor revealed that they do not bring it into the country. They steered me towards 5W30 instead.
5W30 appears to be our only option for the time being.
