No, Dom'. The 6.1 litre engine is not only expected to be driven harder, but it is sans MDS, the driver for the 5w20 oil requirement in the LX 5.7 litre engine.

Amsoil makes a fine 5w20 full synthetic. That's all I'll run in mine.

You should be able to import some if you don't find a dealer in Oz selling it.

Arnold welcome back. 3500 Ks, you have done more than me. I had my oil changed at 2000 Ks myself.

C7VRF, down here in Australia it is not uncommon for manufacturers of any type of goods to limit their range due to the small population and market (in comparison with the US).

Damn, I visited Super Cheap Auto on the weekend and should have looked to see if they had 5W20 on the shelf.
Hey HEMI57. just realised why we have more mileage up than you have. We have had "A HEMI" longer than you have had "HEMI57"! Hows that for stirring?
Cheers

Arnold, oh that is okay.

Given that I am planning to swap HEMI 57 for SRT 61 I am working to keep the Ks down.

Hi all. Picked up 5w-20 oil at Werribee Chrysler this morning. They are keeping it in stock. Also purchased head light covers there, but still waiting for illuminated sill scuff pads to arrive.
cheers

Arnold, great, thanks for the information about source for the 5W-20. How much and is it Mobil1 or other synthetic?

Valvoline is a big client of ours and i asked them the other day about this oil, he said they dont stock it in this country. They do have 0w-40 however.

Dom, we will be okay with out SRT8s then

Although I guess Valvoline is not synthetic? I have always been happy with using Valvoline and not been into synthetic myself in the past so not a big issue for me.

HEMI57. on the jar it says: Mopar , Maxpro SM engine oil , developed with Chrysler Group engineering, made in USA, blah, blah, blah. I take this to be synthetic.
Cost me $64-12 + GST for 10 U.S. Quarts or about 9.5 litres.
Oil filter provided by persons I live with who are involved in that business.

Head lamp protectors $71-59 + GST.
Cheers

HEMI57. Only mates rates on the oil filter!
I am disappointed in the lack of apparel specifically for 300 owners available from D.C. i.e. shirts, hats, jumpers. I have received cuff links and last week a tie, but only wore them in a previous working life. Was wondering if these sort of items are available overseas? Probably not the right place to post this question.
Cheers
