Looks like I'll be placing a call to my "friends" at Nunawading to see what they used at the 1,000 km service. Judging by the comments above I'm tipping it will be wrong. Not that I am surprised.

I'm giving up on them for anything other than warranty related issues and will be taking the car to the same place that has done all the other non factory work on the car and where my last 6 vehicles have been very well cared for: Andrew and the excellent team at Strapp Ford at Burwood.

It's hardly a complicated thing.
I'll also be speaking to DCA about the "serviced elsewhere" issue.

I've just clocked up 4000km on my beast and am going to change the oil. I've decided to go with Castrol Edge Sport 5w30. You can buy it at any Autobarn for $50 for 5 litres. From what I've read here and elsewhere, it should be fine for our "Aussie" spec cars.

Good find Spectre.

Not a bad price especially in individual "bottles". I bought mine in bulk from Petrogas. 3 x 5 litres for approximately $192.00 which works out to about $12.80/litre. Considering these are quarts (0.946 litres) the comparison is eBay price at $12.10/litre. Okay if you live in Melbourne and can pick it up and avoid the delivery cost.
