Srtaus, when I spoke to Andre at Pedders St Kilda he mentioned that Brighton Chrysler wanted it lower but Pedders are very sensitive to legal compliance. They gave me the pre and post lowered measurement and they are only about 1", which Andre pointed out put the front subframe down to the minimum ground clearance.
I am pleased to hear another member doing business with those guys. They are a good bunch and have gone out of their way to look after me (but I have done a fair bit for them too).
DC HQ told me that there will not be a SRT8 at the Motor Show. Anyhow good luck with getting tickets from them.
srtaus i spoke to brighton today and they mentioned you being the fourth srt8 confirmed for the dealership. great stuff mate welcome to the club! we're all gonna be cruising round melbourne like gangsters, big mean grill, huge wheels, get out of our way holdens and fords or we'll stick a double barrel out the window and it's on.
....now, i might hit shane up for motorshow tickets myself tomorrow....
hey Hemi57
Have you got any idea what would be the ideal lowering height without affecting ride too much? I have looked into the Eibach springs which will lower it by around 1.6 inches. What do you think?
I went to Berwick Chrysler today where i ordered mine from and had another really long drive. Man, i am so excited it is killing me! Mine isn't due to dock in Aus til April 10!! Then its probably another 10 days before i get it. The guys there are really helpful, so if anyone on this site is from that way. i highly recommend you pay them a visit.
Cheers,
Shane

Hi all. We had "A HEMI" lowered by Pedders and its down about 1.6in. Found Andre at St.Kilda most helpful. All though I am from the old school that says "you can never be too low" I reckon this is far enough for what we use it for and it will scrape on some speed humps with only me in the car.
I am interested to hear from others with Pedders Sports Ryder springs as I feel that the rear is way too soft and causes the car to oscillate pretty bad on some roads. Had two Pedders dealers tell me it was OK, but I am not convinced. When I say too soft I mean softer than original.
Cheers
Hi Shane, I also ordered mine at Berwick Chrysler the end of December. When did you order yours? Did they promised Min-Feb to Early March delivery? If they did... bloody.. but they'r pretty nice n helpfull.
I just dont want to call them and get the bad news If my car really gonna arrive on april... the waiting time really gonna kill me ... bcoz I just sold my car last week
Btw, Welcome to the forum srtaus

Hey bezita,
I ordered mine on the 21 Jan. I wanted a 2006 build and compliance car. My car was built on 25 Jan. i went to Berwick Chrysler yesterday and they told me my car was expected to dock on 10 April. Hopefully they are accurate with their lead times! Did you want a 2006 build as well? I reckon yours should be here pretty soon.
Fingers crossed!
I believed mine will be 2006 build. I just called Frank this morning and he said the car should dock on 13 Feb and he said shouldnt be too long, probably in 1-2weeks I should be getting mine. Yes..Fringer crossed

Only a few more weeks for you now! You must be pumped!!!
I've been dealing with Scott down there - nice guy, very helpful. What colour are you getting? Mine's black with a sunroof.

Hey Arnold, I was talking to Andre at Pedders last week and he mentioned the service he provided to you.
He is quoting $610 installed for the lowering, including wheel alignment. Mention HEMI 57 and he will give you a better deal. Andre has springs in stock and knows a very important "trick" to do on the suspension which will avoid steeering problems after the lowering. Arnold, maybe you can elaborate, but then it may be a trade secret?
