SRT8's in short supply.....

In reading through the different threads on this site it seems that a lot of people have ordered SRT8s and have been "promised" that they will get one. Given that the numbers are so limited, I'm curious as to just how many people are being told that they have one and who (hopefully no-one) is going to miss out.

It might be interesting to see this thread become a list of SRT8 potential owners.

Just copy the list and add your name with your details (place your name on the list by date ordered).

When you ordered, from where and what colour.

I just hope that there aren't more names on the list than cars available!!!!!

My recommendation. Cancel your order, get any deposit back and look around. You should be able to get your SRT within a few days. Look around on this site or lxforums.com, to get one now. The was one dealer that had 11 on the lot at or below invoice. Hope this helps, but seriously, there is no reason to place an order through a dealer, when a flight and a nice break in period drive back can net you one today.

Opps... Hope he hasn't cancelled his order on my account. . . In that case I would think 2-3 months optimistically, 4-7 at the outside range. I waited 7 months for my 2006. Bought my 2005 at a premium off the lot at 3 months. That was when production was extremely low, Since there is now a surplus of SRT-8's your wait,even in Australia, shouldn't be nearly as long. Hope that helps.

I initially ordered silver not knowing what colours were coming out, and got an allocation, but since going to the motor show and seeing the nice min grey there i've decided that's the only colour i'll be happy with. I don't know when i'm going to get a car allocated to me now unfortunately, and i'm stuck driving a bomb till then.

They'll be adding another soon enough, as the car i had allocated to me will now go to the next silver buyer on their list.

Same story here, I ordered the Mineral Grey prior to the 300c release, but the dealer was going to have to do stock swaps and stuff around, so I was happy to fit in with him and take the Black - I actually thought the Mineral Grey would be the same as the American spec SRT8 'Silver Steel' which had a lot more of a metallic fleck through it, so I'm happy to take the Black instead.
If they arrive here and the colour changes from Mineral to Steel I'll be kicking myself!!!
