hi to all ..I had a tyre co (actually two) do the calculation on the load rating etc on the standard 18" wheels and he (they) have told me that equivellent load rating and rolling diameter with rim size 22" ...... 265/35/22 are ok.to use... and they will state on invoice to that effect... my Insurance company just specify that the change of wheels must meet Vic Roads wheels and tyres specification for roadworthiness...
Also spoke to a chrysler sales guy who has done a few mods before and he seems to say that the srt8 and the 300c are the same model - series ??? by the response it seems myself included ,and new buyers in Victoria, this subject still needs to be more clear for all .... cheers
I have sent you all a PM. Nathan Drive Campbellfield is only in the last 2 editions of Melways apparently and may be a challenge to find. I have the latest Melways (which is in SRT 61 & she is sitting at Brighton Chrysler right now) and will be able to talk you through the directions to get there if necessary. The PM I sent has my mobile number so if you need directions give me a call in the morning.
CYA there.

This might be too late for everyone to see, but with my limited computer skills I did find the street (Nathan Dve).
Basically, outbound on Sydney rd past the Ford factory and turn left at Truck City Dve.Go to Somerton Park Dve and turn left. First right into Foden Ave. and next on left is Nathan Dve.
See U there.
The Detailing workshop went well today and the members who attended grabbed a bit of Meguiars product at discount prices, so everybody was happy.
It turned out to be a good location. Industrial area, quiet Saturday arvo, road that looped around and a bunch of show-off 300C & SRT8 owners
Here are a couple of pics I took and I hope the others will post their best ones too. the best collection of Chrysler 300Cs outside of North America

One of the things I mentioned at todays workshop was the range of colour coded microfibre cloths that are sold by one of our site supporters at AFF.
The site can be found HERE and while I wouldn't suggest that everyone would want the full kit the colour coding system is simple, easy to use and the cloths are top notch quality.
I've spoken to Doc and he is happy to organise a group buy for any combination that suits with a tidy discount. I'll get the individual cloth pricing from him and post it later.
John & Russ, great pics.
Thank you again John for organizing the day, I got a lot out of it as I'm sure others did. The product discounts were an unexpected extra and we all seemed to take advantage of it. Wayne seemed like a great bloke who could talk detailing all day long if you let him.
It was great meeting everyone and getting the chance to put faces to some of those names. Seeing what others have done to their rides was great. I can't wait to see how Bezita goes with the integrated U-Connect system he's installing. Domenic, hang in there man it's worth the wait. The 2 SRT's were a menacing sight. Even with their engines turned off they're an imposing machine. Thanks for taking me for a spin John I had a blast. Those Brembo's are outstanding.
Snoop turned up late with his beautiful daughter and gave me a convincing demo of the Superchips Flashpaq. Even running at the 87 octane tune it was impressive. The shifts were noticibly firmer and the rear tyres would break away from a standing start even with the transmission in "D". I hope they fix the pinging issue so I get a feel for the 91 octane tune.
Anyway thanks again all and I hope to see you again (and many others) at the meeting on the 21st.
Cheers
Sean

Hi all. Thanks for organising the detailing school John. We really appreciated it and learned alot. Didn't realise that we would be five hours learning about some thing I thought was so simple. Of course you know the outcome of it don't you? " When are you going to polish my car again?".
Pleasure to meet all you 300 owners and looking forward to sunday week and meeting more.
Cheers John.
