Black 5.7L has just been signed for today....!

Signed the papers for the 300C today delivery will be mid to late April.

It was touch and go for a while about the colour (black or Magnesium) the winner is Black..!

My weekends are going to be consumed by washing the car, I've had silver colour cars for many years and could get away by washing them every few weeks or so but with darker colours... it will be fun for a while.

Grill will be on it's way and 20" wheels (not sure which ones) but the dealer said they can get them at cost and fit them when the car comes in.

A little anoyed about NO...SatNav but who knows what's in the future. I'm very keen to know how Bezita goes with his instal. US style radio.

Question: I was offered by the dealer the following.
a. Paint sealer
b. Paint protector (different from sealer)
c. Car shampoo/wax
d. Interior carpet sealer & protector
e. Interior leather protector
f. Window tint (dyed tint)
All products are "Truseal" for $1600

Is it worth it...?
Are there any better...?
what % tint would you recomend..?

Thanks

great to hear, im gettin the same, arrival around april, i wouldnt get dyed tint cos i think it fades purple, but for good tint its around $300 installed, im get 5 or 10% but depends which state you are in, here is 35% legal.

not sure about those products, dont know much about them but 1600 seems a little high
yeh im not getting nav but thinking about the kewwood indash dvd player 6 and half inch screen, for like 2k
i too had the same problem with the colour, took me ages to finally go with black but think it was the right choice in the end

Congratulations from me too New300c.

Personally I would not bother with the Protection pack the dealer is offering. These deals are very high profit items for dealers and if you look after your Black Beauty by regular washing and polishing and don't "grot-up" the interior you should have no worries.

BTW, experiencing the level of "detail" that Brighton Chrysler's "detaler" did on HEMI 57 I will be taking SRT 61 untouched.

Congrats N300c.
I can sympathize with you over the waiting time.
I agree with Hemi57 regarding the protection pack. They're grossly over priced. I've always been a advocate for doing it yourself. Otherwise check with Tint-a-Car, they offer a protection pack that may provide better value.
Let us know what wheels you finally decide on.

When i first picked up my wife's jeep from brighton it was dirty, and fuel tank was empty. This was a brand spanking new car mind you. I wouldn't touch anything aftermarket that any car dealer offered, besides with what our machines cost, you're paying an extra 30% luxury tax on top of whatever you get off them. Not worth it. Do it yourself after you buy it.

Congrats

Congrats on the new HEMI!!! As far as the protection pack I agree with the others and the TINT, I have a recommendation http://www.huperoptikusa.com/consumer_auto.cfm I have this in my current vehicle a Lincoln Town Car Cartier; I'm also waiting on a 5.7L HEMI in Brilliant black. My purchase is not quite final yet; still hammering out the details. This is simply the best tint that I have ever had installed bar none. It's about $100.00 premium over the rest of the tints but well worth it.

Good luck and enjoy that HEMI!

Craig

Congrats on taking the plunge!

As to the "dealer package" - I'd skip it. Organizing and doing the shine and protect stuff for your new baby is great fun. And you can get the best of everything for a lot less money than quoted by the dealer.

New300c, bear in mind I am not overly intimate with Brilliant Black myself so what I say is only hearsay.

I believe Brilliant Black is metallic. There was some rumour that the RRP price list was quoting an extra ~$400 for metallic paint but then out of all the Aussie members no-one here has white which means none of us has a price for non-metallic.

Hopefully someone else will state some facts and give me a
