Hey Aussie 300C,
Could you please post pics when you have the wheels on. I'm dying to see a set of 20" TIS 07's on a car. I'm considering exactly the same wheel.
Cheers,
Shane
No probs
I ordered the rims in october last year and they were made begining of march and just got chromed in china last week. TIS have a back order of at least 1200 07's so they are very popular. I only found 1 other set that looked almost identical to them but the "supporting vendor" from this site would not ship them to me.
Lol, pics will be taken and posted when car is complete as will the Avatar.
wheels go on in about 12 hours and everything else by the end of the week, hopefully......
1) Would this flashpaq do anything for the srt8?
2) Does it do anything to our warranty?
IE. if we've installed this flashpaq and we're out driving hard for weeks/months on end and, provided we dont kill ourselves first, we end up blowing something in the motor (it can happen, i know a guy who destroyed an M3 motor in 3 months, brand new car), will chrysler cover repairs given we've tinkered with the power setup?
Or is there no way of them detecting the flashpaq?
According to all the info I've gathered off the U.S guys when you take your car in for service, or for anything that may involve jacking in to your cars computer, you must first return your car to original settings. This point seems to be made quite clearly by our U.S buddies.
I beleive the flashpaq is for the 5.7 only at this stage, at least that's what their website appears to indicate.
As far as blowing something in the motor is concerned, if Chrysler were able to detect that you had altered the ECU I'm sure they would have a good case to refuse a warranty claim. This is why you need to return your car to it's original tune before they got their hands on it.
Having said that, the flashpaq needs to be used with due consideration to the possible outcome of your actions. All cars and componentry have limitations that we need to acknowledge and consider when "driving hard". If you blew something up without the flashpaq installed and Chrysler could prove that the damage was caused by deliberate misuse, then they would again have reason to refuse a warranty claim in that case. Flashpaq or not you can still do damage.
You know what i dont think the srt8 will need it. I reckon the car has enough power as is, any more and traction would be a major issue. I've seen the takeoffs on the zoomers website and the new exhaust makes the car do burnouts, what would a flashpaq do? Same thing. At least with the exhaust you get that growling note.
Glad you like the Avatar but it's only temporary until I get a nice shot of my ride. It's not actually my car, I just felt I needed an avatar to tie me over.
I agree with you Domenic, the SRT8 has enough power. Wow..did I just right that?? I must be getting old.
Got my windows tinted today at Audio FX and saw your little "want" list. Impressive.
You guys are only saying Enough cause you don't have your cars yet,,, when you taste the SRT8 things evolve into creations you never intended on making from the start. Exhaust / Wheels / Grills / Cold Air Intakes / Superchips / the list just keeps growing....
If this is NOT the case then, you are getting OLD Indeed, my old fellows from Down Under.
Good Day.
