Thoughts and prayers for safety and well keeping go out to those in the path of Cyclone Larry. News reports are that parts of Oz are getting hit VERY hard... and the Great Barrier Reef...

Let us know how you guys and gals are doing... after all we've been there/done that with Katrina and Rita last year.

Thanks for your concern Goofy, it's nice to know our U.S. brothers are thinking of us. I'm not from the cyclone affected area myself but it's hit many people hard. Thankfully it was no Katrina.
Apparently repair costs may reach as high as $1 billion dollars but thankfully donations have been steadily rolling in and we're up around the $750,000 mark at last count.
It's always heartening to see how quickly people dip into their pockets when others are truely in need.

I have only just got back in the country after a week's R&R in Bali so still catching up with the news myself. The only news I have seen so far seems that the biggest longer term impact is going to be to the crops that were wiped out but they are of course "000s of people homeless right now.
