Exclamation SRT8 spotted in Sydney!!!!

Hi All,

Just thought I would let you all know my friend had a SRT8 pull up next to him at the lights today. He was in his crossfire and he said it pulled up next to him and the bloke revved his engine to get his attention and said g'day.

My mate could not believe his eyes!!!! The light changed green so they did not get to talk. It was black had the rims which he said looked HUGE, looked totally different at the front to stock 300's, had the nice seats, had the SRT8 badge on the back, big chrome exhaust pipes, looked alot lower and the exhaust note was unreal. He nearly started crying he said.

My mate has had alot of nice cars, mercs, audi's and now has a crossfire coupe and convertable. I didn't believe him when he sms me but he says it is true! He knows his cars, and nearly bought a 300 when they came out, but settled for the convertable, so I do believe him.

I am calling my dealer tomorrow asap to ask what the hell is going on. The excitment in his voice has made me sooo anxious now!! I can't wait!!!!

Cheers.

Stop, you're killing me. All this talk of the SRT8 has made me feel quite depressed. Don't get me wrong, I love my C but my heart always yearned for the SRT8. In the end it all came to affordability (and my wife).

I guess I'll just have to get by on all the stories you lucky owners will share.

I just flat out do not believe an srt8 is on the road yet. Not calling you a liar dude, just maybe reckon your mate is either mistaken or pulling your leg.

Dude with all the stuff you're doing to your ride i reckon the difference in price to an srt8 would be minimal. (add it all up and let us know)

Hey Dom, it all comes out to about $9500. I see your point but at least I can spread these costs out over 12 months.
What's the asking price for the SRT8 on the road?

Nobody knows exact price yet but rumours are between $81-84k on road.

That's the kind of pricing that I've heard as well. A lttle too rich for my blood at this stage.
I'd love to see yours when you get it.

Who knows what it was. I still find it hard to believe my mate, even though he has a love for most things on 4 wheels. He definately says it had the SRT rims, seats, front and rear spoilers, badge on the back, bigger chrome tips on the pipes and alot lower than stock C's. He said an older guy was driving it with a lady in the front and younger one in the back.

The guy driving could have bought all that stuff over the net, who knows. I heard somewhere that Chrysler brought out about 10 of them a while ago for ADR testing etc and for media. Don't know if that was true, but maybe it was one of those cars.

Cheers.
