Adelaide, South Australia.. New member..

Hi Folks,

Yesterday I ordered my 6.1 V8 SRT-8.
Went for the Mineral Gray.. Black interior..
I'm so very excited, but have to wait 8 months to get it! 8 long months!!
Only 70 units were available (order only) in Australia. ALL GONE NOW!
If someone wants one now, they have to wait until 2007.. Unbelievable!!
I'm getting rid of my 5 series BMW Sports that I absolutely love.
The wife says I'm mad.. I hope she's wrong! Actually,I know she is.
What a magnificent vehicle is the 300c.. Full credit to Chrysler.
What a great forum this is too.. So much info and help..
Anyway, off to bed now... If I can sleep..
Regards,
John (Wizard of Oz)

Good luck with it, the wait can be unbelieveably long. But in the end, it'll be worth it.

Wizard of OZ, welcome to THE Forum and congratulations on your buying decision.

Only 8 months??

If you read through the forum I think I hold the record of 11 months & 20 days wait from order to delivery for my Hemi 300C. Then after under 1 month I go and do it to myself again and put money down on my SRT8 with almost 4 months wait gone now.

Of course I decided to buy a 300C way way back in early 2004

Black interior

Hi Domenic.

I believe the first of the black interiors (dark grey slate) is available on the next build. which is the one I am getting. Oct/Nov in Australia.

Greetings Wiz

Congratulations on getting the first bit done....placing the order! Hope the wait doesn't hurt too much and you at least get some satisfaction visiting the great people on this Forum. I went straight out and bought my 300C after seeing the one used as the pace car at Bathurst last year and then, by chance, seeing Hemi 57 in the car park at work! Been one of the best things I bought - ever.
I suppose you looked longingly at the Pace Car going around at the Clipsal 500 on the weekend??

The 300C has only the Light Grey interior.

The SRT8 has the Black interior.

Domenic, SRT8 seats are Black Leather with SRT embroided in the seat back in red. I assume that the dash and door trims could be the dark slate, same as 300C standard we get here in OZ. Roof lining is most likely light grey.

These are my "qualified" opinions but could be different
