Melbourne owners - Magnaflow Exhaust

As I am in the motor trade I have a connection in the industry for exhaust systems. Anyone on this forum in Melbourne who is interested I can get a Magnaflow cat back system, full stainless steel with 4 inch tips for a great price. It sounds freakin amazing!!
PM me if you want the details.

Cheers,

Shane

Good job Shane. Thanks for taking the time to do this for us. I'll be down there in a few weeks.

Hey Dom,

The Magnaflow system for the 6.1 has a different part number (16642) to the one for the 5.7 (15629) so one can safely assume that it's different. Exactly how different I couldn't tell you.

Domenic, the SRT8 has a bigger system standard and a "big bore" note too from all reports. You will be one of the first to be able to experience the "real" thing within days of when I take delivery, I promise, then you can consider an update.

It might be time for me to mention that the US has a higher decibel allowance than Australia. I remember reading about the Monaro having a louder exhaust on the GTO than the local Monaro product as the laws were different for each country.

Just a word of warning with a US spec exhaust system on a 300C. The EPA can be a painful and expensive exercise. My Nephew's HSV GTS gets pinged from time to time, ie. letter arrives in the mail, take it for a test and produce the test results to EPA (test costs around $70 each).

Thanks for the heads up John. I think i better to speak to the guys at the exhaust place and investigate that a bit further.
