Seems high probability for pick-up Thursday.
Thanks to the convoluted way I sourced mine it now has to have another little sea voyage for PD before returning to Melbourne. When that might happen is in the lap of the Gods at the moment.

Cheers

Pre-delivery. Basically the prep work done by the dealer that incurs the nice little charge called "dealer delivery". The actual work done varies from make to make but usually consists of the following:

1. Making sure that basic bits have been bolted on correctly.
2. Ensuring that the vehicle has been built to specification.
3. Setting locale specific paramaters in the BEM and ECU.
4. Cleaning the car.

Cheers

Hey Domenic and Srtaus when did you order your cars?

All I can say is thank god for this site and all the great contributors. If we didn't have this great site none of us would know anything about these beautiful cars.

Spoke to my dealer again today, he says its still due on the 8th, hopefully if everything goes smooth I will definately be in it for the easter long weekend. Looks like we could be driving our cars from the dealer on the same day Hemi57

Hemi57 whats the go with the carbonfibre dash? I thought the only diff inside was the seats? Or are there other minor changes?

Does anyone know if the SRT's come with SRT floor mats and trunk mat? You'd think it would be standard, but wouldn't suprise me if not.

I will post some pics when I can Moose, if I can get out of the car.

srt6.1, I am keen to see the dash myself as I am told it is a carbonfibre (faux) finish unlike the 300C which is an aluminium finish. I have asked for pics but none posted that I have found so far. We will see our own very soon

hay guys,

yesterday i got a call from my local jeep service place saying they had an srt just roll off a truck. straight after work i was down there to check it out. Looks amazing, as you all know, some slight differences externally. interior is very nice, seats are comfortable and more hugging. carbonfibre (faux) looks nice and simple. and the "SRT" that apprears when you start is up is great. throttle is very responsive, i wish i was able to take it for a spin.

don't know where it was headed but i can't wait for mine to arrive.

I expected this would happen. Dealer called me today, said delivery is now Thursday not Monday. I dropped into the dealer today to check out the 300c's he had in stock. My misses hasn't seen the interior of them as yet. We went for a drive to just so I can gauge the diff once I get my SRT.

Dealer is telling me that Chrysler says mines the first to be delivered in NSW. I reckon their delaying my pickup so that they can keep it over the long weekend. When I was talking to them they said there are alot of people asking when will it arrive so they can have a look. This is why I reckon they want to keep it there so they can show it off. He said he will push to get PD done on Thursday, but time will tell.

I just hate the thought of a million people looking at the car and going through it over the weekend. Anyway it was a great ride today in the sunshine.

Cheers,

Steve.

hey srt6.1 are you getting wheels ? im thinking of coming to sydney to get mine and was thinking tempe tyres seems like a great place to get them from, if you are where you getting yours ?

Beau, so how did it sound??

srt6.1, bugger, yours not due to the dealer until Thursday. Let's see if mine slips too eh? I will call tomorrow as they reckoned it would get the PreCar PD maybe Friday and should get to Brighton Chrysler "early in the week".

Brighton need to do their tyre kicking, Detailing (after HEMI 57 I said don't bother, the detail was sh!t but they have a new guy now who they guarantee I will be happy with), install Tint, Grille & lower inserts and then show off to other punters I suppose .
