Great news (for me). SRT 61 arrived at Brighton Chrysler today (Monday). Phil, the sales guy, kept trying to ring me to tell me (I was flying up north for work at the time) and when he hooked up could not shut up about her. He is more excited than I am about SRT8s .

They are swapping my grille & lower inserts from HEMI 57 today, window tint tomorrow and detail Wednesday. I pick her up Thursday. Pictures to follow soon thereafter.

I commisserate with you other members waiting, waiting, and dare I say?, especially srt 6.1 who seems to be getting jerked around by his dealer on his delivery date. Hang in there and good luck.

Its amazing what happens when you bark up a bit. I spoke to the dealer today to see what was going on. He said Chrysler have stopped the deliveries of the cars until they have their official launch later this month. Mine is currently sitting in Pre Car in Sydney.

The dealer gave me the number of Chrysler MD in Melbourne. He said give him a call you might have a better chance of getting somewhere than we do. So I called the number and spoke to his PA. She said she would contact NSW manager and he would call me. I didn't receive a call intill 5pm, it was my dealer. He said what did you do? Manager called him and said car will be delivered Wednesday.

We will see what happens next?

Cheers,

Steve.

Hemi57 it sounded very nice. very smooth and quick to respond. I was thinking of getting a Borla or Magnaflow exhaust, but i'll see how it goes. might not even need it, however a little extra HP never goes astray. could be a bit much getting one over from US tho.

any of you guys using the OEM DVD navi?

what do you guys know about the rear seat dvd players in the headrests from chrysler AUS?

I have a contact at ASL logistics who do the rear DVD system via a subsidiary company called Nextgenautomotive. Ask what you want to know and I'll pass it on to him.

He is also checking out the Nav options although he believes there are no compatible maps for Australia.

Cheers
Russ
