300C going cheap

Hi all,

Found this bargain on carsales.com.au today. You could probably negotiate the price down even further.

IMO i think we can only judge after another year. At this point it is still too early to say how well 300C can hold on 2nd car value.

I did some internet surfing and was shock to see that prices of Chrysler cars like crossfire drop as much as $12,500/year...

I tend to agree with you regarding the second hand value of Chryslers so far. I hope that the image the 300C portrays helps to keep it's value steady.

Fingers crossed.

I wouldn't judge all Chrysler resale values on the Crossfire. That appeals to a very small percentage of the market which is very fashion driven IMHO. Also 12.5K in one year is bugger all really when Commodes & Foulcans drop 50% in around 2 years.

I think the 300 will hold it's value for a while yet as demand is outstripping supply, just like it did in the US. I am surprised that some dealers are not asking more for immediate delivery cars here as some people would be prepared to pay extra to avoid the wait.

I agree but even the Voyager and PT Cruiser are dropping around $10 - 12k p.a.

That's what preventing me from making the 'jump' from Mazda to 300C at the moment. I love the 300C so much!!!

I'll see how the price go next year. If it really drops that much then I'll just get a 2nd hand one...

Hey u4ria,

I work for Mazda and have been driving a Luxury Sports 6 as my company car for the past 18 months. I just took delivery of my 300C on Tuesday and i still can't wipe the smile off my face ! It's the best decision i have made in a long time. You can't really compare resale value with your Mazda as they are a completely different product. Mazda are renowned for holding strong resale. Hopefully the 300C will do that for Chrysler - only time will tell. I think because they are priced so well, demand is out stripping supply and they have had such favourable media reviews, their resale i think should hold up quite well. Remember, bad resale values start with the suplliers and dealers. As soon as heavy discounting starts, that's when your resale will drop much quicker. Here's hoping Chrysler Aus and all the Dealers don't go down this path with such a sensational product.
Take my advice and all the others on this forum - get your ass down to your local dealership and place an order!! You won't regret it.

Cheers,

Shane
