Differences in the new SRT-8 (6.1) and previous model??

Hi there,

How does the new 6.1 SRT-8 vary from the previous 5.7 model?

Exterior/interior as well as motor..

Thanks in advance.

The Wizard.

Do you mean previous SRT-8's or previous 300's?

Wiz, unless there was some special deal just for you guys, there has never been an SRT-8 with a 5.7, anywhere. The very few 2005 300C SRT-8s were 6.1 liter also.

Wiz, the srt8 is the 6.1, the 300c is the 5.7, the differences are numerous inside and out but i actually dont know enough to be able to list them all. I do know the srt8 has a full all-round spoiler kit, it also has 20in wheels, lowered, better suspension, more powerful engine, also different interior design with seats mats steering wheel all with srt8 logo, also there's an upgraded stereo system with 10in subbie, i'm sure someone else can list all the other upgrades.

Hi Wiz,

Please read posts 5 and 6. As they state, there has only been 1 kind of SRT8 in Oz and that's the current 6.1 litre monster. MMMMMM 6.1 litres

Hi Guys,

Sorry for the confusion.. My fault.

What I meant (and Domenic) covered it pretty well is;

What's the difference between the 5.7 and the SRT-8.

Interior as well as exterior.

Thanks.

The Wizard.

I am picking up "little" differences now I have poked around SRT 61.

Larger rear tyres (than the front), Oil Cooler in front of radiator (Tranny or engine ?, no spare wheel (you get a compressor in the boot) and the bloody noise it makes )

Hey Hemi57, could you please send the part number on the tire compressor that you have, because my car came with a full size tire that I will keep at home(heavy and space killing my trunk)...Thanks
