Do you get VON(Vehicle Order Number) and VIN(Vehicle Identification Number) numbers in Australia? The VON is the first thing you need in the US to prove the car was ordered, and to start tracking your car's progress.

A letter, with "CC: Chrysler Headquarters" (or whatever they go by), strategically placed in the letter's lower corner, will get you some attention for sure.

I think it is all too easy to "lose it" when face to face, especially if the conversation starts to Not go your way...

Good luck.

Thank everyone for your advice I needed it.
So close to loosing it, but with your advice I dropped into the dealer this afternoon and finally found the person who was on the other of the phone to me the last few days, he was a little stunned, it might have been the way I shook his hand.

Anyway he sat me down in his office and disappeared only to return with a file full of papers which he kept very close to his chest and he pulled out a VIC Roads registration papers and said Is your car Black..? "YES" sunroof..? "YES" 5.7L "YES YES" then he said the keys will be in your pocket on Tuesday next week I could have hugged him or put him in a head-lock...! very confused for a split second.

I quickly said thank you and with a copy of rego. papers in hand walked out the door with a big grin in my dial.
Didn't even bother to ask why he didn't call..
Happy again

Shame. Shame. Shame.

Hi there..

I noticed you haven't listed where you are from? Which City/ State??

I think you should mention the dealership you're buying the car from.

This will enable all future buyers to be careful and alert.

It would also make the dealership more aware & accountable in future.

The Wizard.
