Fustrated with a dealer.. need advice

This is going to be a little long winded but can any one give some advice how I should approach this before I go to the dealer and say some thing that I might regret.. you get the idea.

I have been trying to get some answers or any answers for that matter from my dealer about the 300c I had ordered in Feb-06, it was to be delivered in late April-06

I called them on Thursday last week and found out that the salesman had left the business..! call his mobile ...no answer

Called the dealer again and spoke to the principle asked him when is the car arriving, he said he will get back to me...!

Called them again of Friday afternoon spoke to the principle again as soon I told him my name he said he is with some clients and will call me back in 45min.. you guessed it no call.

Finally found the salesman that sold me the car, he is now working at another Chrysler dealer and assured me that he had ordered the car and in-fact he is owed the commission.

Called the dealer again on Saturday and got the same answer "I'll call you in 45.. still waiting.

It's Monday and very frustrated... can any one advise.

Thank and sorry to just throw it all out like this.

New 300c, get on down there and demand to get someone from the dealership assigned to manage your order.

I ordered HEMI 57 in November 2004 and the original sales guy at Brighton Chrysler left the dealership to sell BMWs. They assigned Phil to me and he looked after me brilliantly, monitored my car's progress and actively worked for my customer satisfaction.

Last resort, contact Chrysler HQ and make a complaint.

I second Hemi 57

I'm sorry to hear that you're having a hard time of it. It's a very big investment you're making and you'd well expect to be looked after irrespective of whether or not the original sales guy is still there.

I'd follow the advice of my learned friend Hemi57 and go to the dealership in person, ask to speak with the dealer principal/manager and let them know that you're not feeling as good as you think you ought to after making a such a large financial commitment to their business. These beautiful cars are an emotive puchase in many respects and it's an awful shame to have that experience fouled by poor service.

I was well looked after at Brighton Chrysler too.

Hope all turns out OK for you.

Sean.

Unfortunately that will only be "shooting yourself in the foot" as you will go to the back of the queue and start the 3 to 4 month wait clock.

Get there in person, be reasonable and try not to "loose it" . Maybe their attitude will lift.

I do sympathise with you though

Take it from me - as someone who works in the new car industry, if that scenario happened in the dealership I work in that person at least would be seriously reprimanded or even terminated - seriously. That's how important customer satisfaction is at my dealership (Mazda by the way).
I would be going down there in person and demand to speak face to face with the Sales Manager and if not him, the Dealer Principal. At the end of the day the buck stops with these two people. If you can't get a straight answer from these two people, make an official complaint to DC head office with the State Manager - hopefully this will get their attention.
I completely understand how frustrating this must be for you but DON'T let them get away with it. You have put your hard earned money into an expensive product and the minimum standards you should expect are obviously not being met. Get stuck into them.
If you want to speak to me personally for some advice, PM me and i'll give you my number. I'll be happy to help.
Good luck!!!

Shane

I'd cancel my order were it not for the waiting list. Good luck.
