Next Generation 300

This car is called Chrysler Imperial in the Detroit motorshow. I have to say that it looks pretty much like the 300. Could this be the next generation of 300?

Love that suicide doors!

So do you like it rolin7 or are you thinking it should be used as a float for the Mardi Gras in Sydney?

It's not to my taste either...there was a lot of posts about it a couple months back after a big US motor show.

Do some research before you post!

u4ria, welcome to the year 2006. That car has been shown here in Dec 2005 and unveiled at the January 2006 Detroit Auto Show. It is the Chrysler Imperial and not the next Chrysler 300. See here:

Hmmm. I must say that I don't think much of it!

The 300C is much more attractive..

I know it is called Imperial. Mentioned it in my post

My point is that the 'shape' looks very much like the 300C. How nice if they incorporate the suicide door into the 300

why build something as ugly as this when you have studies like Chronos? why not develop that? there is nothing like it in the market. however as far as ugly bricks on wheels there is plenty of examples.

I like it and know plenty of people who also do. They will build it and I bet that we are looking at what they will draw their inspiration from when redoing the 300's interior. And by the way, I have been on this forum since the 300 was just a concept and can you guess what people were saying about it? It looks like a brick. Seems that the brick has caught on.

well, taste is an individual thing. i saw 300c concept drawings and i liked it straight away. saw it for the first time in metal last year and liked it as well. this imperial thing just doesn't do anything for me. i reckon proportions are all screwed up, its too high for its length and width and it looks, well, square. 300c has plenty of attitude. thing is, chrysler has a lot of other great studies from which they could draw inspiration. imperial, in my view, is vulgar and boring. i think maybach is plenty enough for one company's exercise in expensive bad taste.
