Metallic Paint is now free!!!!!

Howdy folks.

My dealer said today that I was actually going to pay less that the contract for my SRT-8.. A saving of about $350.

He said metallic paint is no longer an option and has become standard.

This means the new 6.1 Chrysler 330C SRT (with sunroof) is $79,990.

Unfortunately, if you want one the wait is now around March 2007!!!

But hey, full credit to Chrysler for keeping this beauty under 80K.

Bye for now.

The Wizard.

Good news on the paint. Hang in there Wizard, you won't regret it.

The RRP is 71990, plus Sunroof, plus on roads. Not sure where Wizard got the 79990 but it is possible that SA has lower taxes and stamp duty and car are a bit cheaper there

Is it possible to buy one here in the U.S. and ship it in? Drive it around first while here on "vacation" so it is used and possibly avoids importation tariffs?

Mainly because you can buy one - right now, today - in certain parts of the country, so if the savings are significant enough you would pay for your trip to America and Then some. Just thinking...

You're 100% correct Hemi57. (BUT $71990 IS THE BASE PRICE ONLY)

$71990 plus :

sunroof......................$2430
12 months rego..........$755
Dealer delivery fees....$1995
Stamp Duty................$2820

That adds up to a FULL TOTAL $79990..

Generally our prices are more expensive in South Australia.

It's not uncommon for customers to fly to the eastern states to buy.

The Wiz.

Wizard, ummmm, well you are getting a better deal than us in Victoria. The driveaway SRT8 price is ~$81,500.

Still a good buy.

The prices dropped slightly about 2 weeks ago.. (Early April)

Your dealer should pass on the savings.. (If he's honest)

You'll find Eastern state prices will be the same or maybe less than S.A.

Wizard, I doubt that the prices have dropped as the SRT8 hasn't officially been released yet.

I have mentioned what we are paying here in Victoria and I suggest you double check for SA.
