300C Club for Victoria

Greetings all,

I'd like to get some feedback from our Vic members regarding the possible formation of a 300C club.
Apart from the usual kinds of club activity we could also take advantage of things such as group purchases from supporting vendors and reduce shipping costs via bulk purchases. Track days may also be a possibility. I'm sure there are other benefits that don't spring to mind just yet.

I've mentioned the club idea to Hemi57 (as the founder of the Australian chapter of this forum) who is in favor of it but he also wants to get an idea of member interest. I mention this because I feel John would be the perfect choice to chair such a club. His knowledge, influence and contacts would be of great benefit to all.

So let us know what you think. Would you be happy to join such a club? Do you see it as a benefit? Any feedback would be welcome.

Cheers
Sean

I'd be interested if enough people were involved, just getting to see everyone's mods would be worth the get togethers.

Hi Sean,

As we discussed last night - count me in. I'm happy to do whatever it takes to help it get up and running. I think it is an awesome idea. There is quite a few of us in Victoria now and it will be a great way of meeting everyone, checking out mods, getting advice etc etc.
Come on Melbournians - lets all get behind this and make it work!
BTW, I agree wholeheartedly with John (Hemi57) being the chairperson - if of course he wants to do it!! He is a great ambassador for these cars and as i said on a thread a while ago, it was Hemi 57 who secured my decision to purchase the car in the first place after reading all his posts for months before I became a member here.
Bring it on!!! A Victorian 300C club would be sensational!!

Shane

Gee, thanks guys. I would be honoured to be the chairperson if that is what the member concensus is, at least to get a club off the ground. I guess I am a bit of a "Ringleader" if you consider me organising with the Detailing workshop and the profession I am in (Project Management).

Let's see if we can get the interest going and start this as a social gathering of people with the "300 degree fever".

Arnold, any thoughts?

YES, I'm in!

I think we should do this and John's got my vote for President too.

Getting enough people is exactly my aim. Your involvement will help get the numbers.
Don't sit on the fence, commit.

You can count me in.

Also happy to combine events with our forum (I'm still the Chairman) including our S&S days, Heathcote meets (next one being in May) and any other events we conduct. It's not unusual for us to invite the LS1 guys to Heathcote with us so I can't see a few Hemi's going astray.

Cheers
Russ

Hi all. Looks like we have a big enough membership already.Congratulations John on being the first one to head it up. Seriously, from the interest it looks like this is the way to go. Maybe we better think about somewhere to have a loose social get together and work out what we all expect from it.
Can I suggest we consider the cafe on the Beach Rd. at St.Kilda marina on a sunday morning about 10-30am. Pretty central from all parts of Melb. and parking is good there. Wonder if they would reserve the coffee shop for us?
I figure that from answers already, that with our partners the numbers would be in excess of 20 for the first meet.
Just my two bobs worth!
Looking forward to meeting some more of you.

Gee,

I wish South Aussies were as enthusiastic as you blokes in Victoria.

I've had a posting for a while now looking to form a club.

Not one response..

Either no one is buying them over here, or ?????

Anyway. good luck to the Vics.

The Wizard.
