It is personal preference but I settled for the E&G unit at a cost of US$444 including expedited shipping. Even allowing for duty and the exchange rate I think this represents better value than the DC option item.

Cheers
Russ

Hey John, saw your car today at Brighton Chrysler. They let me take a look at it and even popped the hood and started it for me. WOW! Very different car. Love the seats and brakes especially.
See ya Saturday.

Very nice ride mate, Ive been lurking here for a while but decided to step up !!

Im considering grabbing an SRT 8 when I step out of my Crossfire. Your thoughts on the new car? Ride, fuel efficiency, handling, any other info would be great !!

Ive been a MoPar nut for a long time, and still have my 1971 VH 770 Charger and the Xfire.

Looking forward to chatting with you guys on here.....

Cheers

Rat

Looks like Mr Velvet and Hemi57 are the first Aussie SRT8 owners. Are there any others outthere? I spoke with a dealer today who was vehemently denying that these cars started shipping (Chrysler 5star). i think he's in serious denial. i was happy to enter a little wager with him, but i don't think he saw any humour in it.

6200, don't forget SRT 6.1 up there in sunny Sydney. Steve picked up his SRT8 the same day as me (13th April).

Interestingly the press is still saying SRT8 will be release sometime in May .

Rat, thanks for the PM which I responded to. Welcome aboard.

Ooops, hope I didn't get them into trouble.
I sure hope you don't find out about the donuts they were laying in the thing before I walked in. That'd be most unfortunate.

You were dead right about the sound off. What'd you think of the Magnaflow sound?

Sean, the Magnaflows sound great. Real deep note. I also liked the Borla sound on Erfan's when it gave a "crack" sound at WOT gear changes.

Both are highly recommended by HEMI57
