So getting a little excited now should be another week / 10 days then I can put my bum in it.
...
Dealers a little excited to as this is the first 08 series they've had delivered let alone sold.
Congrats mate! Exciting huh
Though I think the dealer might be pulling your leg... (assuming we're both using the only dealer in Newy), as he told me my 08 series arrived yesterday... uh oh, one of us is being told stories :P
Either way I'm guessing there's not many 08 CRD's getting around this town... here's hoping you got the sedan, so we can both be unique haha!
Doesn't the count-down suck!
By the way, not meaning to bag the dealer in public, but their tinting & protection package (~$1k) is probably not worth it. $200 for the same tint at a specialist in Belmont, & a few places around who'll give you the full protection wash for much cheaper too. Just FYI
Hmmmmmmmmm He did mention there was a series 2 wagon on the way. I only got the tint @ $295.00, the $1250.00 I mentioned is what they charge, supposedly, for "pre-delivery" whatever that is.
Anyway Not long now so looking good. Bet my last $ it'll be ready next Friday when I'm down in Sydney so I'll have to wait until MOnday.
ARrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr rrrrrr

What colour you get?
Black, of course
Nice deal on the tint! I must have a bit of a sucker look about me, they wanted $495 for it from me. Oh well.
Well you do have 2 extra windows to tint.
Funny though I ordered it with a "luxury" pack as when I ordered it the options were a bit sketchy and the 'Boston' system was no longer an option.
I asked the dealer the other day what I got for my $$$$$$ on the "luxury" pack as there was limited if any info on the series 2 and his response was "I Dunno".
Well bugger me.
I asked what he meant as it was he that put it down on the order back in March.
He then said, We don't have any info on the option packs but I expect you'll get Sat Nav and the MyGig system.
So not only am I expecting a new car I'm also going to get a surprise!!!!
I better be pleasantly surprised or he's gunna be getting one instead.

Hmm, it's a bit scary how little the dealers seem to know haha!
When I asked about options, there was no mention of any luxury pack or anything... once I had narrowed it down to a Series 2 CRD Wagon, the only questions were: What colour? Want sunroof? Want GPS?
Sunroof was ~$2k extra, GPS was ~$3k & 3months for shipping.
As far as I'm aware (pretty sure about this), ALL series 2 come standard with MyGiG & Boston 6-Speaker audio. No Luxury pack option here, it's all standard inclusions (as per www.chrysler.com.au/300c_touring/index.html).
Anyway, don't mean to hijack the thread, but I'd love to hear what the luxury options are! Mine (delivered next week) is stock-standard, no options, so feel free to quiz me on what I have to see if you got any extras.
Here's hoping you didn't get shafted!

I'd be taking a close look at the marketing brochure or the Chrysler OZ web site. I have lost a little "touch" with how the 300C series II is marketed but when I bought both of mine it was the same as kyebosh, what colour?, sunroof? (no GPS available back then).
From what I gather the series II is standard with Mygig, and the Boston sound system has always been standard with 11 element speakers.

Well thanks to the link posted by Kyebosh I now have it printed off and I'll have that at the ready when I pick mine up.
I was of the opinion, Sunroof (which I ordered), tint, and thats about it, I did ask about the upgraded system as I ordered mine back in March, and that was an option on the series 1, and ended up signing for the "luxury Pack".
So with print out in hand I'll see what I got for an extra $1100.00.
I'll let you all know.
Well it's here, picked it up yesterday and I'm impressed.
Very nice interior, they have definitely improved it. Leather is softer and I love the charcoal colour. Lotsa toys, in fact it's doing my head in trying to work it all out. Got the phone hooked up and loaded all my #'s but there's still lots to work out.
As for the "Luxury Pack" there ain't no thing. Got the price adjusted to reflect that.
Drives well and gets your attention on the freeway when you hit the loud pedal. Not as quick as the Senator but then that was expected. However the comfort of it far outwieghs the acceleration of the HSV.
First thing was to get it home and rip the grille out and get the "bling" in. Looks so much better with the egg crate removed.
Overall a very nice car. Quiet, responsive, and losta toys.
Pity's its raining today, woulda taken it out for a run but we can't get the new toys wet can we
