SPRUNG! Who's hanging out with the PT Cruisers?

OK ok. I know this should probably go in the member spotting thread but I just came back from a family outing to Science Works in Williamstown and spotted a 300C in the carpark. Whilst this is not unusual in itself, it was parked in a 10 car line up of PT Cruisers!

Don't believe me.....I took pictures!

So who's hanging out with the PTs then huh?

Nice...I don't know that we get the turbo version here in Austraila. I actually drove the 2.4 limited (no turbo) the other day and it was a lot of fun.

Some of the ones I saw on the weekend were very nicely modded. One of them in the foreground of my photo even had a bonnet scoop fitted. Looked great!

The turbo 2.4 is available here in the states. Chasb lives in the states. I don't know if a turbo 2.4 PT Cruiser is availalbe down under.

I am 6'4", 250 lb my Dad bought a PT back in the early days of them being sold. I sat in it and it felt like everything in there was for smaller people. smaller window buttons. smaller shift knob, A/C, radio controls all smaller, etc. I nick named my Dad's PT his Pretty Tiny Cruiser.

Compared to our 300Cs the PT sure is pretty tiny! I remember it had an even more polarising effect (than the 300C) on public opinion when it was launched here. Some loved it and others really disliked it. I must say it has grown on me....

For what it's worth, here is the only engine option available in Australia.

1605 Cabrio

Standard transmission
5-Speed Manual
4-Spd AutoStick (Optional)
